HANKY SPANKY — Vintage sexist spanking cartoons, 1950s and '60s

Cartoons about spanking from another era. Most of these were found in those 25¢ humor magazines published by Martin Goodman's publishing empire. (Goodman also published Marvel Comics.) There are a couple of others, including a paperback book cover, a text page out of a love comic book, and even a coffee ad from a magazine.

I found almost all of these on various Tumblr sites, so copyright information is not available.

The cartoon just below is taken from original art. Bill Ward sometimes drew very large on newsprint paper. He used airbrush, and for highlights he used white paint.

And I have only one "turnabout is fair play" cartoon.

HARVEY KURTZMAN “Hey, Look!” portfolio from 1966

This is a follow-up to editor Harvey Kurtzman's HELP! #3, posted here last week.

John Benson published a small portfolio of ten of MAD creator Harvey Kurtzman's pre-MAD "Hey, Look!" comic book filler pages in 1966. This is the portfolio with its sharp black and white photo-offset printing. The title page was done on a spirit duplicator.
