Tarzan and the City of Diamonds-Hogarth

Superscope Story Teller books were very similar to Little Golden Books in appearance, but came in a package with a cassette tape. I don't have the tapes, but I have three of the books in Superscope's Tarzan series. The stories were rewritten from the Sunday newspaper strips by Burne Hogarth. "Tarzan and the City of Diamonds" is from a 1947-1948 continuity.

The story, with its beautiful and sexy women, seems a bit mature for the young audience at which Superscope usually aimed their books.

The Seekers "The Boneyard Club" 1966

The Seekers was a British newspaper comic strip which ran from 1971 in THE DAILY SKETCH, which also ended the same year. I don't believe one had anything to do with the other. In the tradition of Modesty Blaise the strip is well drawn and written. This is the strip's first sequence, which began on May 2, 1966.
