Vernon Simeon Plemion Grant (1902-1990) was a popular twentieth century illustrator who specialized in children's works and advertising. He is probably most famous for the creation of Snap, Crackle and Pop for Kellogg's, but did many other works, including this World War II era premium for Rennett-Junket Custard products.
There is more about Grant from the Culture and History Museums here.
